Ajax call to fetch list of value from database in spring mvc

I want to implement a usecase where in a jsp page one button will be there named "view information" and on clicking it an ajax call will happen which will fetch the list of information from database and then display the table with pagination feature. I want to achieve it in spring mvc, please help me with the code as I am new to it so I don't have much idea!!
