Spring Injection for Strings using Groovy

This example was working and the only thing I think has changed is the version of java and groovy I have installed.

Here is the context.xml file:

If I comment out the second to the last line of the context file it runs.

This used to work and it does not work now. What am I doing now? Thanks Siegfried

I'm running Groovy 2.3.0-beta-2 and Java 1.8.0_05.
