learning spring with open source project example

I am studing spring now, and i would like to make a web application based on it. is there a good open source web application made by spring available for free download? i want to see how spring IOC, spring security and spring MVC such things are used in a real project. i know i can follow some tutorials about spring MVC. But if i want to make a complicated web application i need to know how to use IOC, DI, security, hibernate such things combined together. So i need a good code example to show me how it is done in a more realistic way instead of some simple tutorial of how to start. in a nut shell, is there a tutorial/code example to teach a middle-level spring learner?
